Does L4R cost anything to join?
Not a dime. We would like everyone to join us at any time. We do have ladies (and men) who donate to our organization monthly to support our growth but there is not a monthly/yearly fee associated with our team.
Do I have to know about the bible to come to a meeting?
All of our meetings are centered around God's Word (as we feel this is the core and most important teaching to follow), but everything will be in a very practical way. We feel whether you are new to Christ or have been around for awhile you will get valuable information to take with you each meeting.
What makes your organization different than other women's groups or bible studies?
We are not in the comparing business when it comes to identifying what other groups do, but we do strongly feel that the main focus of our team provides a very proactive lifestyle. We want you to think of Life 4 Real as a movement for Christ not just another meeting or group you join. The organization itself is only the 'hub' to come a couple of times per month to fellowship with women that are unified and growing in the same direction to serve. The REAL ministry lies within your heart and soul as you are living your life each day.
Our very first Annual Retreat. We went to Nagshead, NC for a three day event called "Live Like a REAL Girl."
Who picks out the books?
Each month a book is chosen by the Life 4 Real team. The books will be both fiction and non fiction with a Christ centered focus.
Where do you meet?
Usually we meet at one of the team memebers homes, but occasionaly we will pick a location at a local coffee shop, library to discuss the book.
How are you book clubs different than ones I have been to in the past?
As you know, sometimes women and discussion can get emotional and personal. While we do find this important, we try to use our time together to challenge each other
Life 4 Real takes your average book club to the next level. We ramp up our time together by providing a guided outline for each event. Our focus does not center around the book as much as the bible itself. This allows anyone to join us, even if you have not read the book.
